Raptors, Wine, Tea and Trestle Bridges

On the weekend we headed back to Victoria to pick up Andrew's sister, Clare, and spend more time with her on her days off work. I think our favourite stop of the weekend was the Pacific Northwest Raptors Center near Duncan. Several of the birds were out in the open (albeit leashed) so it was much easier to get a good look at them. And there were several staff members who engaged with both the birds and visitors which made it very interesting and educational.

It was raining when we arrived at the Kinsol Trestle Bridge but that didn't stop us from going for a short hike.

We had lunch and wine tasting at Unsworth Vineyards, wine tasting at Averill Creek Vineyards, tea tasting at Westholme Tea Company, and stopped at a couple local coffee roasters so we are well stocked up!

With Saturday being so rainy, we weren't sure what we'd wake up to but the view from our rooms at the Moon Water Lodge on Sunday morning was stunning!

Although we'd stayed at an airbnb earlier in the trip, this time we were back at our favourite Victoria hotel, the Coast Harbourside. Love being near the harbour and the colourful house boats at Fisherman's Wharf.
